Spectators: 8043 (Terracing: 6033, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 160) Rapid Bucuresti's Cătălin Mihăescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, FC DINAMO Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Mihăescu came free, but Bogdan Stelea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cătălin Mihăescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Bogdan Stelea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasile Lucian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Cernescu in the 7th minute of play. If Irinel Cernescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC DINAMO Bucuresti's goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vasile Lucian was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roberto da Fonseca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. In the 23rdth minute of the game Roberto da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rapid Bucuresti's Vasile Lucian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto da Fonseca in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vasile Lucian saved Rapid Bucuresti from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sorin Cartiș in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vasile Lucian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the last second Vasile Lucian throw himself and got hold of the ball when Roberto da Fonseca in the 34thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Vasile Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Cartiș in the 41st minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roberto da Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. Roberto da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Vasile Lucian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sorin Cartiș came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the FC DINAMO Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sorin Cartiș couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the game, Roberto da Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Vasile Lucian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 57thth minute of the game Sorin Cartiș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rapid Bucuresti's Vasile Lucian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, FC DINAMO Bucuresti's Bogdan Stelea got control of the ball when Cătălin Mihăescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vasile Lucian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rapid Bucuresti's Vasile Lucian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto da Fonseca in the 62nd minute of play. Matúš Havran charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matúš Havran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Matúš Havran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Sorin Cartiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasile Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rapid Bucuresti's Vasile Lucian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Cartiș in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Rapid Bucuresti getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Emilian Apolzan hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see FC DINAMO Bucuresti's Sorin Cartiș in action when he in the 74th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Sorin Cartiș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79thth minute of the game Cătălin Mihăescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC DINAMO Bucuresti's Bogdan Stelea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Roberto da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC DINAMO Bucuresti's Bogdan Stelea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Walicki in the 82nd minute of play. Vasile Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto da Fonseca in the 83rd minute of the match. Ionel Danciu hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Vasile Lucian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irinel Cernescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Vasile Lucian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sorin Cartiș's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Roberto da Fonseca took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vasile Lucian. Vasile Lucian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC DINAMO Bucuresti had played much better football throughout.
