In the 5th minute Ramon Lombera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Honcioiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th match minute, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Jurcuț to maneuver through the defense. Ionuț Panțuru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Cornel Filimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's Cornel Filimon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA from getting a goal against them. Augustin Rusu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augustin Rusu scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornel Filimon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Club Infinity Bacau's Doru Tilea got a free kick in the 25th minute. Cornel Filimon came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Infinity Bacau's Augustin Rusu. But to his dismay, Augustin Rusu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Cornel Filimon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Doru Tilea charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doru Tilea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Doru Tilea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 44 minutes, Horaţiu Jurcuț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horaţiu Jurcuț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ionuț Panțuru to make the kick off. Cornel Filimon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augustin Rusu's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After 53 minutes of play Club Infinity Bacau's Doru Tilea was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 54th minute, Doru Tilea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augustin Rusu took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornel Filimon. Cornel Filimon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The supporters of Club Infinity Bacau booed when CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Lombera didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Traian Melinte fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Infinity Bacau's protests and gave Traian Melinte a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Infinity Bacau getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Traian Melinte hit a great ball. The long shot by Horaţiu Jurcuț in the 68th minute really tested Damian Honcioiu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Club Infinity Bacau getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Francisc Enache hit a great ball. Cornel Filimon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Pacurar, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Augustin Rusu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornel Filimon was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. When Club Infinity Bacau's Augustin Rusu in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cornel Filimon was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Augustin Rusu sped through CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cornel Filimon. After 94 minutes of play, Club Infinity Bacau's Augustin Rusu made it 9-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornel Filimon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Club Infinity Bacau were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
