The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 26 played minutes FC DINAMO Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Luca Muraru. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugen Lupea to make the kick off. With a left leg Bogdan Stelea saved FC DINAMO Bucuresti from getting behind. In the 80th match minute, FC DINAMO Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavius Alupulesei to maneuver through the defense. FC DINAMO Bucuresti's Bogdan Stelea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Vermeşan in the 88th minute of play. Isac Tatulici kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
