In the 12th minute of the match Iurie Săndoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornel Filimon skillfully saved the ball. In the 22nd match minute, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Rânceanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Iurie Săndoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Filimon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornel Filimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iurie Săndoi in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Iurie Săndoi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's Cornel Filimon. Cornel Filimon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iurie Săndoi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to S.C. Zulmde's Damian Caba getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 44th minute, Iurie Săndoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Zulmde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Cornel Filimon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iurie Săndoi went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

54 minutes into the match, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's goal looked a bit too open when Șerban Giosu came free, but Cornel Filimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augustin Vâlceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Săndulescu in the 56th minute of play.
