Spectators: 8000 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 160) Cipanul FC's Nae Costin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vasile Arsenescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ábel Varsányi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 3rd minute, Ábel Varsányi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lupii Turbati fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Vasile Arsenescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigi Kent, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Raúl Gonzáles took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionică Bălanescu. Ionică Bălanescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a little luck, Lupii Turbati's Ionică Bălanescu got control of the ball when Raúl Gonzáles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vasile Arsenescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ábel Varsányi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Vasile Arsenescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Netto in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Ábel Varsányi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasile Arsenescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Nae Costin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ionică Bălanescu. That made the score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. In the 38th minute, Marcel Taşcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nae Costin in the 39th minute of play forced Lupii Turbati's goalkeeper Ionică Bălanescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vasile Arsenescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ábel Varsányi, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Lupii Turbati's Gigi Kent got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Netto was the one to do the kick off. Lupii Turbati's Dinu Angheluță suffered a sore thigh after 56 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Daniel Buzilă's late challenge caught a Lupii Turbati's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Buzilă helped the player get up and apologised. Daniel Buzilă kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Isărescu in the 62nd minute of play forced Lupii Turbati's goalkeeper Ionică Bălanescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lupii Turbati's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 80 played minutes Cipanul FC got a freekick which was hit by Octavian Isărescu. Francisco Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ábel Varsányi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Vasile Arsenescu made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Lupii Turbati's zone, Nae Costin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionică Bălanescu came out of the goal and Nae Costin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 played minutes Lupii Turbati got a freekick which was hit by Gigi Kent. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cipanul FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lupii Turbati had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
