After 7 played minutes Cipanul FC got a freekick which was hit by Bozhil Donchev. Octavian Isărescu scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornel Filimon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute, Nae Costin made a precise shot to the right of Cornel Filimon. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Cornel Filimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nae Costin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Gonzáles came free, but Cornel Filimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Buzilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, Octavian Isărescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's Cornel Filimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Costin in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nae Costin made a kick off. If Raúl Gonzáles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raúl Gonzáles made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 57thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Cornel Filimon would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 59th minute, Octavian Isărescu made a precise shot to the right of Cornel Filimon. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Cornel Filimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nae Costin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Răzvan Potoroacă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornel Filimon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. In the 73rd minute, Nae Costin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Octavian Isărescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornel Filimon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Nae Costin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-11 to the left of a surprised Cornel Filimon 86 minutes into the match. Răzvan Potoroacă struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Cornel Filimon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cipanul FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicu Gâgea during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st match minute, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Gâgea to maneuver through the defense. Cornel Filimon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Anton Achim. When the match was over Cipanul FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA throughout the match.
