With his leg Aurelian Stroia managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Gashka Nebuna's Alin Gârbovan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 4th minute of the game, Iordache Blajovici landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Gashka Nebuna's Cristi Boieru was substituted for Iordache Blajovici. In the 6th minute, Moise Banica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gashka Nebuna's Cristi Macovescu got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Poli Iași's Aurelian Stroia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Poli Iași from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute Olimpiu Luca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Gotzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristi Macovescu during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Gashka Nebuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avram Robescu to maneuver through the defense. Poli Iași's Olimpiu Luca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Astor Gotzon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Astor Gotzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Luca in the 26th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Tiberiu Petrin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelian Stroia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Poli Iași booed when Gashka Nebuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avram Robescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astor Gotzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dragoş Stamatiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Cristi Macovescu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of Gashka Nebuna booed when Poli Iași was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calistrat Archiudean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Jdeica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Aurelian Stroia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gashka Nebuna getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Petrică Tiberiu hit a great ball. Astor Gotzon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Luca, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 66 minutes, Horea Vâlcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poli Iași and the Gashka Nebuna players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Zamfir in the 80th minute of play forced Gashka Nebuna's goalkeeper Astor Gotzon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Petrin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Aurelian Stroia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 97 minutes, Ilie Bobailă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gashka Nebuna and the Poli Iași players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gashka Nebuna's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
