Emanuel Loghin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Stoicu in the 4th minute of the match. Emanuel Loghin came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Avantul Hirlau's Nistor Gurlui. But to his dismay, Nistor Gurlui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Emanuel Loghin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sorin Pietreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Avantul Hirlau getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Marin Abrudan hit a great ball. Maxim Nae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Servando in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Tulbure in the 25th minute of play forced Avantul Hirlau's goalkeeper Maxim Nae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Janova's goalkeeper Emanuel Loghin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. George Stoicu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Ilieș to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Janova's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Burdulea came free, but Emanuel Loghin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Avantul Hirlau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Branimir Kandev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Maxim Nae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Tulbure in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ştefan Tulbure in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxim Nae saved Avantul Hirlau from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Oproiu in the 68th minute of play forced Avantul Hirlau's goalkeeper Maxim Nae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Janova's Emanuel Loghin got control of the ball when George Stoicu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sorin Pietreanu struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Emanuel Loghin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avantul Hirlau. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
