The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. George Stoicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cornel Banu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornel Banu made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when George Cercelescu sent off a good shot on target. When Petrică Leluțiu fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caciulesti's protests and gave Petrică Leluțiu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Caciulesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Leluțiu to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Sorin Pietreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 18th minute of the match Petrică Leluțiu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Petrică Leluțiu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Petrică Leluțiu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. George Stoicu had several of the Caciulesti's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Cornel Banu as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Caciulesti booed when Avantul Hirlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Gurlui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxim Nae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irinel Ghioane, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Caciulesti were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Avantul Hirlau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 钱沙挺 took the corner. Caciulesti's 钱沙挺 was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maxim Nae in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 33 played minutes Avantul Hirlau got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Gurlui. Sorin Pietreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cornel Banu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute George Stoicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Banu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Stoicus short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Cornel Banu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The wind increased when Irinel Ghioane made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Caciulesti's goal looked a bit too open when George Stoicu came free, but Cornel Banu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davide Moretti hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 55th match minute, Avantul Hirlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sorin Pietreanu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Irinel Ghioane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caciulesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Irinel Ghioane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxim Nae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 minutes, George Stoicu made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Caciulesti's Cornel Banu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 65 minutes into the game, Avantul Hirlau's Radu Sălcudeanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornel Banu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 68thth minute of the game George Stoicu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caciulesti's Cornel Banu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Johan Ivarsson's late challenge caught a Avantul Hirlau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johan Ivarsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Caciulesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Ivarsson to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Caciulesti getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Johan Ivarsson hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that George Stoicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornel Banu was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After 77 minutes, George Stoicu made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Caciulesti's Cornel Banu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Stoicu in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornel Banu saved Caciulesti from getting behind. In the 82nd match minute, Avantul Hirlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Stoicu to maneuver through the defense. Cornel Banu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Stoicu's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Ovidiu Șora charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ovidiu Șora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Caciulesti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
