Spectators: 7341 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Giovani da Rocha started the match with the kick off. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by ProRapid's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Petruț Finteșteanu was slow to take the kick. During this time Ribanna FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Petruț Finteșteanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ben Hoes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ghenadie Damian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Endrik Verde, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Ghenadie Damian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani da Rocha in the 20th minute of play. Ben Hoes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Surdilă in the 23rd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes ProRapid got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Kilstedt. Giovani da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ghenadie Damian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ProRapid. Ghenadie Damian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ribanna FC's Ghenadie Damian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani da Rocha in the 46th minute of play. Ciprian Luican hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Endrik Verde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ghenadie Damian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcu Surdilă to make the kick off. After some careless play in the ProRapid defense, Marcu Surdilă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ben Hoes. The ProRapid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ben Hoes should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute Cosmin Zdraşcu suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Giovani da Rocha's late challenge caught a Ribanna FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovani da Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. Ribanna FC's Leonard Gagiu was substituted for Cosmin Zdraşcu. Giovani da Rocha hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. ProRapid's Ben Hoes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Domuță in the 69th minute of play. Giovani da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ghenadie Damian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 76th minute Marcu Surdilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Hoes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ribanna FC's Petruț Finteșteanu got a free kick in the 77th minute. Ghenadie Damian made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Albert Baltian sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ribanna FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Norberto Cresconio was slow to take the kick. During this time ProRapid's players had a chance to rest. In the 80th minute, Jarl Kilstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani da Rocha in the 85th minute of play forced Ribanna FC's goalkeeper Ghenadie Damian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Temel Kutalp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ghenadie Damian was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Giovani da Rocha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 90 minute of play. In the 97thth minute of the game Marcu Surdilă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ProRapid's Ben Hoes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
