The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gigi Iovanovici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Mugur Burtescu made a huge save. The supporters of Doxa Beregsau Mare booed when Angels Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Păltineanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Angels Team's goalkeeper Mugur Burtescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charilaos Triantafyllou. Iacob Codrea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidiu Mârza in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Doxa Beregsau Mare's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Mârza came free, but Iacob Codrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Angels Team's Mugur Burtescu got control of the ball when Charilaos Triantafyllou tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Angels Team's goalkeeper Mugur Burtescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigi Iovanovici. With his leg Mugur Burtescu managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Doxa Beregsau Mare's Charilaos Triantafyllou fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Doxa Beregsau Mare's zone, Bogdan Păltineanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iacob Codrea came out of the goal and Bogdan Păltineanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Angels Team's goalkeeper Mugur Burtescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charilaos Triantafyllou. Mugur Burtescu was a little too slow when Valeriu Buzgar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. A hard shot 30 in the game by Charilaos Triantafyllou from a close distance when the talented Mugur Burtescu managed to make a qualified save. Angels Team's players were relieved. Doxa Beregsau Mare's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bert Van Boxstael in the 32nd minute. Victor Tase tried in the game's 32nd match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Mugur Burtescu. An annoying self made goal, 2-0. Mugur Burtescu made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Charilaos Triantafyllou sent off a good shot on target. Valeriu Buzgar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Burtescu having to interfere. Petru Baciu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charilaos Triantafyllou made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charilaos Triantafyllou in the 57th minute of play forced Angels Team's goalkeeper Mugur Burtescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugur Burtescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Iovanovici in the 62nd minute of play. Doxa Beregsau Mare's Bert Van Boxstael was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mugur Burtescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Tase during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Angels Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Tase to maneuver through the defense. Charilaos Triantafyllou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Angels Team's Ovidiu Mârza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iacob Codrea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petru Baciu during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Doxa Beregsau Mare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petru Baciu to maneuver through the defense. Mugur Burtescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charilaos Triantafyllou, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 81st minute, Ovidiu Mârza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Angels Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valeriu Buzgar in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugur Burtescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th match minute, Angels Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Senin to maneuver through the defense. Mugur Burtescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georges El Naili in the 86th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Angels Team got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Ciuvică. Bogdan Păltineanu kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charilaos Triantafyllou in the 93rd minute of play forced Angels Team's goalkeeper Mugur Burtescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angels Team's Mugur Burtescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Buzgar in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Doxa Beregsau Mare players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
