The referee ignored FC Carlsberg's protests and gave Iacob Iliuță a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, FC Carlsberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iacob Iliuță to maneuver through the defense. FC Carlsberg's Ciprian Tunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Şumălan in the 4th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ferdinand Şumălan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciprian Tunaru was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Ferdinand Şumălan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciprian Tunaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Radu Zdrobău during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Radu Zdrobău kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Ciprian Tunaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Şumălan in the 15th minute of play. Petru Pamfil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, FC Carlsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Pamfil came free, but Ciprian Tunaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferdinand Şumălan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Petru Pamfil dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Petru Pamfil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 47 minutes on the clock, Gelu Brăescu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iacob Iliuță stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petru Pamfil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ciprian Tunaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Carlsberg's Ciprian Tunaru got control of the ball when Nicolae Pârâianu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Petru Pamfil in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Carlsberg's goalie prevented a goal. In the 64th minute, Claudiu Negrițoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 65 minutes, Horia Gârniceanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Carlsberg and the -BZF- Viitorul Buzau players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Carlsberg's Horia Gârniceanu got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ciprian Tunaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petru Pamfil in the 68th minute of the match. When Iacob Iliuță came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the FC Carlsberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iacob Iliuță couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute Petru Pamfil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciprian Tunaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Nicodim Vătăşel managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicodim Vătăşel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciprian Tunaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciprian Tunaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Pamfil, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Carlsberg's zone, Cazimir Carp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciprian Tunaru came out of the goal and Cazimir Carp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciprian Tunaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Pamfil in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 minutes, Liviu Nae mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Carlsberg and the -BZF- Viitorul Buzau players grew even worse after the yellow card. Liviu Nae kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes FC Carlsberg got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Tarcea. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Petru Pamfil managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's supporters rose to their feet, but Petru Pamfil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 97th minute, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Cazimir Carp dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. When the final whistle sounded -BZF- Viitorul Buzau left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Carlsberg.
