Spectators: 8007 (Terracing: 6007, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Marian Gorunescu made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Cazimir Carp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 5th minute, -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ferdinand Şumălan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's zone, Sentot Likumahua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iulian Nisipeanu came out of the goal and Sentot Likumahua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sentot Likumahua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Trpimir Čaplar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Pamfil in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Sentot Likumahua managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's supporters rose to their feet, but Sentot Likumahua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iulian Nisipeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marian Gorunescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Nisipeanu having to interfere. After 20 played minutes -BZF- Viitorul Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Negrițoiu. Iulian Nisipeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Piţurcă in the 22nd minute of the match. -BZF- Chimia Buzau were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Panait Piţurcă took the corner. In the 27th minute of the match, Petru Pamfil tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Trpimir Čaplar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 27 minutes into the match, Petru Pamfil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trpimir Čaplar. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petru Pamfil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Marian Gorunescu got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Mihăilă hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferdinand Şumălan made a kick off. In the 51st minute Marian Gorunescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Nisipeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Şumălan's late challenge caught a -BZF- Chimia Buzau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinand Şumălan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of -BZF- Chimia Buzau booed when -BZF- Viitorul Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Şumălan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marian Gorunescu struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Iulian Nisipeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for -BZF- Chimia Buzau. In the 68th minute, Gelu Brăescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sentot Likumahua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Nisipeanu having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, -BZF- Chimia Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorel Dumitrana to maneuver through the defense. Marian Gorunescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Nisipeanu having to interfere. Iulian Nisipeanu made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Horia Pavel sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Pompiliu Ghișerel got a free kick in the 89th minute. With a little luck, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Iulian Nisipeanu got control of the ball when Marian Gorunescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The -BZF- Viitorul Buzau supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching -BZF- Chimia Buzau's performance. The match ended with a win for -BZF- Chimia Buzau.
