The Old Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Costică Bălace fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC U Manastur's protests and gave Costică Bălace a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Old Boys. Pär Rolfsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mohammad Norwood. 0-2. In the 10th minute Iacob Drăgoescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammad Norwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Sever Podgoreanu. In the 15th minute, Emilian Mateianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match FC U Manastur got a corner. Old Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Şerbănoiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC U Manastur's Manuel Şerbănoiu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Walter Zenga in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 22nd match minute, FC U Manastur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Kyurtev to maneuver through the defense. Mohammad Norwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Agrigoroaiei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Old Boys booed when FC U Manastur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cătălin Vlădoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Costică Bălace hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Pär Rolfsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohammad Norwood skillfully saved the ball. Mohammad Norwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Drăgoescu in the 30th minute of play. Mohammad Norwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Drăgoescu in the 35th minute of the match. FC U Manastur's Mohammad Norwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iacob Drăgoescu in the 36th minute of play. Emilian Mateianu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the game, one of FC U Manastur:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mohammad Norwood had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Pär Rolfsson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when Old Boys's Pär Rolfsson after 47 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for FC U Manastur's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilian Agrigoroaiei in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohammad Norwood saved FC U Manastur from getting behind. Mohammad Norwood stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iacob Drăgoescu's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Old Boys's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pär Rolfsson in the 57th minute. The corner led Old Boys's Pär Rolfsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Mohammad Norwood despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Dumitru Surugiu in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC U Manastur's Pavel Kyurtev. After a rather tough play, Old Boys's Damian Burdulea got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 70 played minutes Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Drăgoescu. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC U Manastur's goalkeeper Mohammad Norwood, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iacob Drăgoescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mohammad Norwood could save by the left post. Mohammad Norwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Agrigoroaiei in the 78th minute of the match. Mohammad Norwood came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Old Boys's Iacob Drăgoescu. But to his dismay, Iacob Drăgoescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Walter Zenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Kyurtev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iacob Drăgoescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Mohammad Norwood made a huge save. After 93 minutes, Iacob Drăgoescu made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. FC U Manastur's Mohammad Norwood tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
