In the 15th match minute, Liverpool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragoş Hristea to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes, Dragoş Hristea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liverpool and the FC STEAUA BUCURESTI players grew even worse after the yellow card. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Iustin Chirtoacă. FC STEAUA BUCURESTI's Doru Ghioane was substituted for Eduard Nenciu. Iustin Chirtoacă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber dos Santos in the 81st minute of the match. Iustin Chirtoacă made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Gláuber dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. FC STEAUA BUCURESTI's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
