Pelicanul Negru's Carsyn Jobson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. U 1974's Estefan Vizcarreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Vergulescu in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Hârtopanu in the 39th minute of play forced Pelicanul Negru's goalkeeper Ion Feroiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute of the match U 1974 got a corner. Pelicanul Negru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Balint ran over to the corner to take the kick. Estefan Vizcarreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilie Vergulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Ilie Vergulescu put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Estefan Vizcarreto. In the 47th minute, Ilie Vergulescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

In the 54th match minute, U 1974 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Păvăloae to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ilie Vergulescu in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Estefan Vizcarreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Octavian Hârtopanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ion Feroiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eneto Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ion Feroiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Hârtopanu in the 61st minute of play. Estefan Vizcarreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ilie Vergulescu's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Estefan Vizcarreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilie Vergulescu in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, 叶升宇 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Estefan Vizcarreto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in U 1974's zone, 叶升宇 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estefan Vizcarreto came out of the goal and 叶升宇 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Verratti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Estefan Vizcarreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilie Vergulescu in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Pelicanul Negru were awarded a corner. Filippo Bottone went to the cornerflag to take it. Eric Caraiman's late challenge caught a Pelicanul Negru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Caraiman helped the player get up and apologised. Eric Caraiman hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Ilie Vergulescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Pelicanul Negru's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 92 minutes, Gică Măcrineanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U 1974's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gică Măcrineanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Pelicanul Negru booed when U 1974 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Balint didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilie Vergulescu took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Estefan Vizcarreto. Estefan Vizcarreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. When the final whistle sounded Pelicanul Negru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than U 1974.
