Olavi Liib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilie Vergulescu in the 19th minute of play. Pelicanul Negru were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Catalin Haldan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Filippo Bottone took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Filippo Bottone got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Olavi Liib quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pelicanul Negru's Ion Feroiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Telin in the 71st minute of play.
