Lucrețiu Dragoș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th minute, Marcel Turcescu made a precise shot to the right of Estefan Vizcarreto. U 1974's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Cristinel Leluțiu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Estefan Vizcarreto 15 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes Rovine Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Turcescu. After having played for 19 minutes, Robert Andriescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U 1974's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Andriescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 22 in the game by Cristinel Leluțiu from a close distance when the talented Estefan Vizcarreto managed to make a qualified save. U 1974's players were relieved. 23 minutes into the match, U 1974's goal looked a bit too open when Jyrki Saarelainen came free, but Estefan Vizcarreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eneto Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the U 1974 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eneto Vidal couldn't finish the play. Cristinel Leluțiu didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-1 via right post in the game's 30th minute. Rovine Craiova's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Estefan Vizcarreto made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Jyrki Saarelainen sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Estefan Vizcarreto managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Rovine Craiova's Cristinel Leluțiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eneto Vidal took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucrețiu Dragoș. Lucrețiu Dragoș dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Lucrețiu Dragoș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eneto Vidal in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Estefan Vizcarreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristinel Leluțiu's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. A collision led to U 1974 getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Eneto Vidal hit a great ball. Lucrețiu Dragoș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Andriescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Alexandru Fetea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match Alexandru Tudorică sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Estefan Vizcarreto skillfully saved the ball. Estefan Vizcarreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Leluțiu in the 62nd minute of the match. Cristinel Leluțiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estefan Vizcarreto having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, U 1974's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Turcescu came free, but Estefan Vizcarreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alexandru Tudorică fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rovine Craiova's protests and gave Alexandru Tudorică a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rovine Craiova's Alexandru Tudorică got a free kick in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristinel Leluțiu in the 72nd minute of play forced U 1974's goalkeeper Estefan Vizcarreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U 1974's Gică Măcrineanu was substituted for Robert Andriescu. Lucrețiu Dragoș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gică Măcrineanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, U 1974's Octavian Hârtopanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucrețiu Dragoș. Lucrețiu Dragoș yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-3. In the 88th minute, Octavian Hârtopanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of U 1974 booed when Rovine Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Turcescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Cristinel Leluțiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Estefan Vizcarreto. U 1974's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristinel Leluțiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3.
