When Sebastian Minulescu fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JUNIOR 2012's protests and gave Sebastian Minulescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 played minutes JUNIOR 2012 got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Minulescu. If Eugen Alex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Ciuvică received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Iacob Frățilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugen Alex sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of AS Fulgerul Ploieşti booed when JUNIOR 2012 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Olăroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iacob Frățilă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nae Boteanu in the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Eugen Alex shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Frățilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nae Boteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iacob Frățilă having to interfere. Eugen Alexs short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Iacob Frățilă to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iacob Frățilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Ciuvică, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute AS Fulgerul Ploieşti were awarded a corner. Pompiliu Cristocea went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gigi Gâțea during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Pompiliu Cristocea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iacob Frățilă. Iacob Frățilă came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Ivan Ciuvică. But to his dismay, Ivan Ciuvică quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Pompiliu Cristocea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Iacob Frățilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Ivan Ciuvică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iacob Frățilă made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Pompiliu Cristocea sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute AS Fulgerul Ploieşti were awarded a corner. Pompiliu Cristocea went to the cornerflag to take it. Nae Boteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Iacob Frățilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iacob Frățilă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Alex in the 45th minute of play. Iacob Frățilă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Alex in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ivan Ciuvică managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Ciuvică was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iacob Frățilă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Ciuvică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Ciuhandu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luca Halipa having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, JUNIOR 2012's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Boteanu came free, but Iacob Frățilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugen Alex sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Eugen Alex got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivan Ciuvică charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Ciuvică the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Ivan Ciuvică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Luca Halipa got control of the ball when Gigi Gâțea tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute, Ivan Ciuvică got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eugen Alex struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Iacob Frățilă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Fulgerul Ploieşti. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
