Nicodim Zogreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Șeimeanu having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Sorin Lipan had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Ciprian Albulescu fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC CETATE DEVA's protests and gave Ciprian Albulescu a yellow card for diving instead. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ made a substitution. Ion Iftodi replaced Sorin Lipan. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Dacian Burnei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s supporters rose to their feet, but Dacian Burnei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigel Șeimeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute Ionuț Nicolescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Șeimeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernest Grecescu got free with Ernest Ştati in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Kaj Bogren got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ernest Ştati quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the FC CETATE DEVA defense, Nicodim Zogreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gigel Șeimeanu. The FC CETATE DEVA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gigel Șeimeanu should have stopped the shot. Ernest Ştati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Rădoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Brânzaș in the 32nd minute of play forced FC CETATE DEVA's goalkeeper Gigel Șeimeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Dragoş Axinia put in a rough tackle. 35 minutes into the game, one of FC CETATE DEVA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gigel Șeimeanu had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Iustinian Spirea's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After the first half Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ion Iftodi to strike the kick off in the second half. Gigel Șeimeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costică Brânzaș in the 56th minute. In the 58thth minute of the game Ion Iftodi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC CETATE DEVA's Gigel Șeimeanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernest Ştati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Grecescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Gigel Șeimeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costică Brânzaș in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Ion Iftodi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigel Șeimeanu was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Gigel Șeimeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Zogreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Gigel Șeimeanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Adrian Bociort kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
