If Han Lin Zhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 4th minute Nae Boteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Enachescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eugen Alex fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's protests and gave Eugen Alex a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes AS Fulgerul Ploieşti got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Alex. Albert Nae scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luca Halipa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The corner led ZION's Avram Vizitiu to fire away a dangerous shot which Luca Halipa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 14th match minute, AS Fulgerul Ploieşti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Alex to maneuver through the defense. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Luca Halipa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Nae in the 15th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Albert Nae ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luca Halipa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of ZION booed when AS Fulgerul Ploieşti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Ciuvică didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Nae in the 23rd minute of play forced AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's goalkeeper Luca Halipa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Halipa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albert Nae went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Luca Halipa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Garzon in the 33rd minute of the match. ZION's Dacian Enachescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save ZION from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes in the game, Pompiliu Cristocea fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dacian Enachescu having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Albert Nae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half ZION were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the match, Albert Nae had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luca Halipa. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albert Nae was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 57 minutes of play, AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Ivan Ciuvică made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dacian Enachescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Pompiliu Cristocea came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the AS Fulgerul Ploieşti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pompiliu Cristocea couldn't finish the play. Luca Halipa was a little too slow when Albert Nae got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-5. If Pompiliu Cristocea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Nae came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luca Halipa could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, ZION's Hugon Figlewski got a free kick in the 79th minute. Dragoş Iorga kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Albert Nae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Pompiliu Cristocea got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nae Boteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Dacian Enachescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ZION eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
