Spectators: 8029 (Terracing: 6023, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 160) UFC Mahmudie's Claudiu Coidum started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Rubinho Goiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cocoloco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UFC Mahmudie the free kick. After 2 played minutes Cocoloco got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Goiano. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cocoloco's goalkeeper Dinu Taşcău, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Maxim Lupeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Cocoloco's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Coidum came free, but Dinu Taşcău reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinu Taşcău was a little too slow when Claudiu Coidum got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Claudiu Coidum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, UFC Mahmudie's Dinu Taşcău threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Claudiu Coidum, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Beat in the 26th minute of play forced UFC Mahmudie's goalkeeper Denílson de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinu Taşcău stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Antoniu's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 31st match minute, Cocoloco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petru Hristea to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Antoniu got free with Dinu Taşcău in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ionel Dănciulescu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Claudiu Coidum did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Dinu Taşcău 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frédson Arantes was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Cocoloco got a corner. UFC Mahmudie's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bedih Hatırlı ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Cocoloco's Bedih Hatırlı to fire away a dangerous shot which Denílson de Andrade despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Cocoloco's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Coidum came free, but Dinu Taşcău reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes, Carlos Beat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cocoloco and the UFC Mahmudie players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cocoloco getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Carlos Beat hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudiu Coidum in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dinu Taşcău prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 71 minutes, Claudiu Coidum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC Mahmudie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudiu Coidum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. UFC Mahmudie made a substitution. Călin Agulescu replaced Daniel Furdui. Ionel Dănciulescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Denílson de Andrade firmly grabbed it by the left post. Denílson de Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ionel Dănciulescu in the 80th minute. If Călin Agulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Călin Agulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Taşcău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Călin Agulescu in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dinu Taşcău prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th minute of the match UFC Mahmudie got a corner. Cocoloco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maxim Lupeanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Maxim Lupeanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dinu Taşcău quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 96 played minutes UFC Mahmudie got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Cristea. UFC Mahmudie's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
