Elemér Udvarhelyi started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Timbau CSM getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Nechifor Ispas hit a great ball. The Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Costică Brânzaș looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costică Brânzaș in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosmin Roman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the game, Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Nicodim Zogreanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cosmin Roman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Timbau CSM's Elemér Udvarhelyi got a free kick in the 16th minute. Cosmin Roman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Brânzaș, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute, Sorin Lipan made a precise shot to the right of Cosmin Roman. Timbau CSM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Cosmin Roman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Lipan in the 25th minute of the match. Elemér Udvarhelyi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Ernest Ştati made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Zogreanu in the 28th minute of play forced Timbau CSM's goalkeeper Cosmin Roman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Costică Brânzaș left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The supporters of Timbau CSM booed when Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Cartianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s goal looked a bit too open when Elemér Udvarhelyi came free, but Ernest Ştati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elemér Udvarhelyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Ştati having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Nicodim Zogreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nicodim Zogreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosmin Roman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st match minute, Timbau CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duddu Doro to maneuver through the defense. Dacian Burnei was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ defense, Elemér Udvarhelyi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernest Ştati. The Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernest Ştati should have stopped the shot. After the first half Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Timbau CSM's Gică Mitescu was substituted for Cristi Ionășescu. The wind increased when Sorin Lipan made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ionuț Nicolescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cosmin Roman. Timbau CSM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ionuț Nicolescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Cosmin Roman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Lipan in the 57th minute of the match. Duddu Doro hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Costică Brânzaș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Cosmin Roman made a huge save. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Ernest Ştati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elemér Udvarhelyi in the 62nd minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Timbau CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Sorin Lipan came free, but Cosmin Roman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Nechifor Ispas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Costică Brânzaș ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cosmin Roman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. 80 minutes into the match, Timbau CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Nicolescu came free, but Cosmin Roman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Iustinian Spirea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Adam Bratiloveanu fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s protests and gave Adam Bratiloveanu a yellow card for diving instead. Adam Bratiloveanu hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Nicu Bogdan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Timbau CSM getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Avram Aalexoaiei hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Timbau CSM's Nechifor Ispas got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
