The supporters of AS Fulgerul Ploieşti booed when CBF Csikszereda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Brezeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corneliu Giurgiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Boteanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Luca Halipa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petruț Sângeorzan in the 11th minute. Remus Lupșe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Luca Halipa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petruț Sângeorzan in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luca Halipa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, CBF Csikszereda's Remus Lupșe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luca Halipa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Luca Halipa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save AS Fulgerul Ploieşti from getting a goal against them. In the 30thth minute of the game Petruț Sângeorzan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Luca Halipa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Petruț Sângeorzan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Luca Halipa made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petruț Sângeorzan in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luca Halipa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute, Ivan Ciuvică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Ciuvică kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, CBF Csikszereda's Claudiu Tănăsocă ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luca Halipa. Luca Halipa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nae Boteanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nae Boteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Corneliu Giurgiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's Nae Boteanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corneliu Giurgiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Nae Boteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to AS Fulgerul Ploieşti getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Iosif Arseni hit a great ball. Luca Halipa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Sângeorzan in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, CBF Csikszereda's goalkeeper Corneliu Giurgiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugen Alex. Moise Ciutacu hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The supporters of CBF Csikszereda booed when AS Fulgerul Ploieşti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nae Boteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Ciuvică charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Ciuvică the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ivan Ciuvică hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petruț Sângeorzan in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luca Halipa saved AS Fulgerul Ploieşti from getting behind. After 81 minutes AS Fulgerul Ploieşti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nicolae Chirnoagă who took care of the corner kick. Luca Halipa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petruț Sângeorzan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Nae Boteanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corneliu Giurgiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 95th minute, one of CBF Csikszereda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CBF Csikszereda. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
