Thanks to some nice moves Sven-Edvin Ahlroth could shoot a difficult shot in the 2nd minute, which Dacian Gugulanu however easily saved by the left post. In the 4th minute English Fire were awarded a corner. Costică Nedelcu went to the cornerflag to take it. Sven-Edvin Ahlroth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Dacian Gugulanu made a huge save. After having played for 12 minutes, Costin Babarada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Vlahuță's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costin Babarada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, FC Vlahuță's Costin Babarada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dragoş Puric made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When FC Vlahuță's Radomir Czerwinski in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye English Fire's goalie prevented a goal. Sven-Edvin Ahlroth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dacian Gugulanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radomir Czerwinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoş Puric having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, English Fire's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Trobbiani came free, but Dragoş Puric reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Edvin Ahlroth in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dacian Gugulanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dacian Gugulanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cazimir Ciulei in the 40th minute. In the 40th minute, English Fire's Cazimir Ciulei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dacian Gugulanu. Dacian Gugulanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 43 minutes into the match, FC Vlahuță's goalkeeper Dacian Gugulanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Edvin Ahlroth. After a rather tough play, FC Vlahuță's Esa Hagelberg got a free kick in the 44th minute. Costin Babarada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half FC Vlahuță were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudiu Doinaș to strike the kick off in the second half. Dacian Gugulanu came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by English Fire's Monico Dragomir. But to his dismay, Monico Dragomir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 58th minute, Claudiu Doinaș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dacian Gugulanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nunez Vincente's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Claudiu Doinaș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dragoş Puric tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Vlahuță's Claudiu Doinaș slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dragoş Puric. That made the score 2-3 after 62 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Nunez Vincente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dacian Gugulanu was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the match, FC Vlahuță's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Vincente came free, but Dacian Gugulanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74thth minute of the game Claudiu Doinaș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but English Fire's Dragoş Puric was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Esa Hagelberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Vlahuță's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esa Hagelberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. English Fire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Vlahuță the free kick. A collision led to English Fire getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Monico Dragomir hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudiu Doinaș in the 89th minute of play forced English Fire's goalkeeper Dragoş Puric to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the English Fire defense, Claudiu Doinaș kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dragoş Puric. The English Fire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dragoş Puric should have stopped the shot. After 94 minutes, Nunez Vincente made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. FC Vlahuță's Dacian Gugulanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomir Czerwinski in the 97th minute of play forced English Fire's goalkeeper Dragoş Puric to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Vlahuță walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
