In the 39thth minute of the game Valer Opaina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yellow Flag's Nistor Pantelimon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nistor Pantelimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Eenmaa in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Yellow Flag's zone, Valer Opaina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nistor Pantelimon came out of the goal and Valer Opaina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isac Spiridon made a kick off. Nistor Pantelimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Brănet in the 50th minute of the match. After 51 played minutes UNIREA FOCSANI got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Ivănescu. After 52 played minutes UNIREA FOCSANI got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Medrea. In the 53rd minute, Damian Chiliman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UNIREA FOCSANI's Ionel Gâlcă didn't even have to move. After having played for 57 minutes, Isac Spiridon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yellow Flag's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isac Spiridon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isac Spiridon kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, UNIREA FOCSANI's Valer Opaina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nistor Pantelimon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 65 played minutes UNIREA FOCSANI got a freekick which was hit by Alan Eenmaa. UNIREA FOCSANI's Ionel Gâlcă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isac Spiridon in the 67th minute of play. Ionel Gâlcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Ogășanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute.
