When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Sven-Edvin Ahlroth sped through Yellow Flag's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nistor Pantelimon. Monico Dragomir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nistor Pantelimon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Yellow Flag booed when English Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nae Hăvârneanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monico Dragomir's late challenge caught a Yellow Flag's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Monico Dragomir helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, English Fire's Monico Dragomir got a free kick in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, English Fire's goalkeeper Dragoş Puric had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silviu Oardă. Yellow Flag's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
