Nicolae Zăvoiu ran back to his position shaking his head. When Lluciano Somorrostro came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the F.C. Ștefan cel Mare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lluciano Somorrostro couldn't finish the play. FC Eagles Sibiu's Octav Tudoran was substituted for Maraman Belo. After 77 played minutes FC Eagles Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Denis Mănescu. Ferdinand Amurăriței breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes F.C. Ștefan cel Mare got a freekick which was hit by Martin Daraban. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched F.C. Ștefan cel Mare eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
