After having played for 15 minutes, Lluciano Somorrostro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Ștefan cel Mare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lluciano Somorrostro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute Nicolae Zăvoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Strungă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Lluciano Somorrostro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcel Strungă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nicodim Bran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Lluciano Somorrostro took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Strungă. Marcel Strungă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Codrin Nițu charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Codrin Nițu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, F.C. Ștefan cel Mare's Codrin Nițu got a free kick in the 40th minute. Nicodim Bran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Caragea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ștefan cel Mare booed when Minaur Baia Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Poplăcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Lluciano Somorrostro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. In the 82nd match minute, Minaur Baia Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Poplăcan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lluciano Somorrostro in the 84th minute of play forced Minaur Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Marcel Strungă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Strungă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lluciano Somorrostro went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. F.C. Ștefan cel Mare's Nicodim Bran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Caragea in the 91st minute of play. If Lluciano Somorrostro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Caragea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Nicodim Bran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. F.C. Ștefan cel Mare walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
