Einer Glidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Ghiciușca in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Gierlach in the 3rd minute of play forced Strambeni's goalkeeper Einer Glidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Champions Iasi's Rouven Nussli got control of the ball when Emanuel Roşoga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Einer Glidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Ghiciușca in the 6th minute of the match. Einer Glidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Alexandru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Strambeni's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Gierlach came free, but Einer Glidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Strambeni's Einer Glidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Zăreanu in the 12th minute of play. Einer Glidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Ghiciușca in the 15th minute of play. Einer Glidal came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Champions Iasi's Marian Ghiciușca. But to his dismay, Marian Ghiciușca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 19 minutes of play, Strambeni's Emanuel Roşoga made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rouven Nussli was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorin Onuț got free with Rouven Nussli in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emre Karakushev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Rouven Nussli made a huge save. In the 26th minute Waldemar Gierlach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einer Glidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Gierlach in the 26th minute of play forced Strambeni's goalkeeper Einer Glidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorin Onuț could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Rouven Nussli made a huge save. Einer Glidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Ghiciușca, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Emre Karakushev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Strambeni defense, Waldemar Gierlach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Einer Glidal. The Strambeni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Einer Glidal should have stopped the shot. Fabian Zăreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einer Glidal having to interfere. Einer Glidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Gierlach in the 38th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Gierlach in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Einer Glidal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Waldemar Gierlach put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Einer Glidal. Einer Glidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Zăreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Einer Glidal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Gierlach's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The Strambeni players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Champions Iasi were winning 1-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldemar Gierlach was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Marian Ghiciușca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Einer Glidal. That made the score 1-4 in the 50 minute of play. Einer Glidal didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-5. Champions Iasi were furious when Harri Takavirta was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 56th match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harri Takavirta to maneuver through the defense. If Pontus Fagrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Zăreanu hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Einer Glidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Zăreanu in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Basarab Alexandru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Einer Glidal. Strambeni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basarab Alexandru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. 76 minutes into the game, Champions Iasi's Fabian Zăreanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Einer Glidal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. In the 79th minute of the match, Marian Ghiciușca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Einer Glidal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Einer Glidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Ghiciușca in the 84th minute of play. Einer Glidal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marian Ghiciușca went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. Einer Glidal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Zăreanu in the 87th minute. Fabian Zăreanu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Einer Glidal firmly grabbed it by the left post. Strambeni's Einer Glidal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Strambeni from getting a goal against them.
