Virgil Marioteanu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Petrică Dăscălescu came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by A4p SIAD's Emilian Iorgu. But to his dismay, Emilian Iorgu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 19 minutes, Luis-Javier Durango managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis-Javier Durango was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A4p SIAD were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Arsenal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Virgil Marioteanu took the corner. In the 27th minute, Horea Vulcănescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Petrică Dăscălescu. The goal made the score 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Virgil Marioteanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. A4p SIAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgil Marioteanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petrică Dăscălescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Cârstoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Cârstea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilian Iorgu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Petrică Dăscălescu made a huge save. Virgil Marioteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Petrică Dăscălescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A4p SIAD's Horea Vulcănescu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to A4p SIAD getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Olimpiu Doinaș hit a great ball. Pavel Cârstea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gabriel Cârstoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis-Javier Durango was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Beca in the 51st minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Petrică Dăscălescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pavel Cârstea got free with Gabriel Cârstoiu in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Cârstoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pavel Cârstea in the 54th minute. Petrică Dăscălescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iustinian Iorgulescu went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The A4p SIAD fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when A4p SIAD's Horea Vulcănescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 92ndth minute of the game Horea Vulcănescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal's Petrică Dăscălescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led to A4p SIAD's Nichifor Beca getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. A4p SIAD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
