Mikhail Bannikov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olimpiu Oncescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Uwe Schram, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Carter Scudieri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Olimpiu Oncescu made a huge save. Claudiu Popescu struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mikhail Bannikov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stoicii. Gelu Zmărăndache kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Mikhail Bannikov came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Stoicii's Gelu Zmărăndache. But to his dismay, Gelu Zmărăndache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Olimpiu Oncescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Uwe Schram, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 36 played minutes Stoicii got a freekick which was hit by Matei Comișel. A collision led to Stoicii getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Remus Tilincă hit a great ball. Olimpiu Oncescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Uwe Schram in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Stoicii's goal looked a bit too open when Carter Scudieri came free, but Olimpiu Oncescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens-Uwe Schram made a kick off. Paco Rabanera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Olimpiu Oncescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens-Uwe Schram fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Oncescu having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matei Comișel got free with Mikhail Bannikov in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 75 minutes of play, Real Mangalia - BTF's Jens-Uwe Schram made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olimpiu Oncescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stoicii were furious when Florin Pâslaru was red carded, 78 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Olimpiu Oncescu had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Codrin Zogreanu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of Real Mangalia - BTF booed when Stoicii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remus Tilincă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Mangalia - BTF's Paco Rabanera managed to work through Stoicii's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Paco Rabanera dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Olimpiu Oncescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carter Scudieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Carter Scudieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Mangalia - BTF's supporters rose to their feet, but Carter Scudieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olimpiu Oncescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
