After 10 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Zoreanu. In the 14th match minute, Purcaresti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrei Dumitrache to maneuver through the defense. Dinu Pelin came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cătălin Trică could save by the left post. Dinu Pelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Pelin. A hard shot 35 in the game by Dinu Pelin from a close distance when the talented Cătălin Trică managed to make a qualified save. Purcaresti CSS's players were relieved. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinu Pelin was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Jack Ares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Trică saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Granicerul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costin Vulpe to maneuver through the defense. Remus Vuia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Zamfirescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Zamfirescu couldn't finish the play. Dinu Pelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Granicerul succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Purcaresti CSS had controlled the match.
