Real Mangalia - BTF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pavel Mazăre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Iustin Radovan came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Purcaresti CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustin Radovan couldn't finish the play. Purcaresti CSS's Valer Șişman got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jens-Uwe Schram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 0-3 became the score in the 25th minute when Valer Șişman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Iulian Pavelescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Radovan in the 31st minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Iustin Radovan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The supporters of Purcaresti CSS booed when Real Mangalia - BTF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Uwe Schram didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Iustin Radovan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iulian Pavelescu was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Radovan in the 60th minute of play forced Real Mangalia - BTF's goalkeeper Iulian Pavelescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Crăciunescu during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Purcaresti CSS:s Cătălin Trică showed great skill when he stopped Codrin Zogreanu:s penalty. With a little luck, Real Mangalia - BTF's Iulian Pavelescu got control of the ball when Valer Șişman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Purcaresti CSS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
