Spectators: 8007 (Terracing: 6007, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Olimpiu Teodorescu kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute George Schiau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Brumaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Doru Coman came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the New York Red Bulls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doru Coman couldn't finish the play. Aron Mitruț kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 0-1 became the score in the 10th minute when George Schiau elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ilie Brumaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doru Coman in the 15th minute of the match. Ilie Brumaru came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by New York Red Bulls's George Schiau. But to his dismay, George Schiau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ilie Brumaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basarab Panduru in the 23rd minute of play. Aron Mitruț hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, New York Red Bulls's Basarab Panduru tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Roque Euloxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ilie Brumaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cosula-BTF-'s zone, George Schiau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilie Brumaru came out of the goal and George Schiau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doru Coman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ilie Brumaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilie Brumaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Schiau in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Panduru in the 41st minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ilie Brumaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Manuel Neicu got a free kick in the 45th minute. The FC Cosula-BTF- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. New York Red Bulls were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Schiau made a kick off. Ilie Brumaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Schiau in the 55th minute of play. New York Red Bulls's Doru Coman got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. George Schiau received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ilie Brumaru came out and tried to block the shot, but George Schiau slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 61st minute. Ilie Brumaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Schiau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Doru Coman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After recieving a nice pass, New York Red Bulls's Basarab Panduru tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Buta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in New York Red Bulls's zone, Olimpiu Teodorescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Pereyra came out of the goal and Olimpiu Teodorescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ilie Brumaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save FC Cosula-BTF- from getting a goal against them. Ilie Brumaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Coman in the 86th minute of play. FC Cosula-BTF-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Doru Coman scored to the left of an out of position Ilie Brumaru, making the score, 0-5.
