Paul Antim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Marchiș having to interfere. After 42 played minutes minerul -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Roșeanu. If Dacian Dijmărescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viorel Zgîrţa to make the kick off. A collision led to FC Buburuza getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cristian Acalinei hit a great ball. After 56 minutes of play, FC Buburuza's Paul Antim made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remus Marchiș was left in no man's land by his defense there! Viorel Zgîrţa charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viorel Zgîrţa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes minerul -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Zgîrţa. If Paul Antim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Dorin Abutnăriței hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristi Eftimescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, FC Buburuza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Antim to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to minerul -MM- getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Grigore Moscu hit a great ball. After 73 played minutes, FC Buburuza's Juan-Carlos Jubera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remus Marchiș came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Buburuza reached it. 77 minutes into the match, Bruno Kadajas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remus Marchiș. minerul -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Kadajas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 2-1 became the score in the 84th minute when Codrin Roșeanu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viorel Zgîrţa got free with Nicu Berceanu in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, minerul -MM-'s Nicu Berceanu threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristi Eftimescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 92 minutes into the match, FC Buburuza's goalkeeper Nicu Berceanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codrin Roșeanu.
