Ionuț Baicea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Remus Marchiș made a huge save. Nicodim Gabor hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petrică Dragu got free with Remus Marchiș in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Remus Marchiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Floroiu in the 19th minute of play. Petrică Dragu came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Remus Marchiș could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valeriu Gavruță in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remus Marchiș saved minerul -MM- from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Valeriu Gavruță put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Remus Marchiș. In the 25th match minute, FC Banat Steierdorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Pârvan to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute of the match Emanuel Petrică sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arne Võsandi skillfully saved the ball. Petre Tarchilă charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petre Tarchilă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of FC Banat Steierdorf:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of minerul -MM-:s goal. Costin Tadici hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th match minute, minerul -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Hăulică to maneuver through the defense. Remus Marchiș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrică Dragu in the 38th minute. Remus Marchiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Dragu in the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionuț Baicea got free with Remus Marchiș in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC Banat Steierdorf booed when minerul -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leontin Cartiș didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Viorel Zgîrţa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remus Marchiș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrică Dragu in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Ionuț Baicea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Remus Marchiș. Ionuț Baicea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1.

Remus Marchiș came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Banat Steierdorf's Valeriu Gavruță. But to his dismay, Valeriu Gavruță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Ferdinand Floroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Marchiș having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudiu Bădescu got free with Arne Võsandi in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arne Võsandi made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Claudiu Bădescu sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, minerul -MM-'s Claudiu Bădescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arne Võsandi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Remus Marchiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Dragu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristi Eftimescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remus Marchiș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petrică Dragu's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. FC Banat Steierdorf's Petrică Dragu managed to work through minerul -MM-'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Petrică Dragu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Remus Marchiș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionuț Baicea, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, minerul -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Baicea came free, but Remus Marchiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, minerul -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Dragu came free, but Remus Marchiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, FC Banat Steierdorf's Ferdinand Floroiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
