After 10 played minutes FC Calea Sagului got a freekick which was hit by Maxim-Alexander Ike. Petruț Omescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelian Buzincu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes FC Calea Sagului got a freekick which was hit by Ioan Cipău. Aurelian Buzincu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Petruț Omescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. MARIUS MARCOV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ingvar Bergström in the 22nd minute. The corner ended in Ingvar Bergström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Calea Sagului's Petruț Omescu did a great save. After a rather tough play, FC Calea Sagului's Aron Lobonț got a free kick in the 26th minute. MARIUS MARCOV's attentive Costică Tăcutu managed to snatch the ball when Eric Iuzbașa made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, MARIUS MARCOV's goal looked a bit too open when Aron Lobonț came free, but Zdzislaw Zagrodny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Niculae Maior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zdzislaw Zagrodny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zdzislaw Zagrodny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Lobonț in the 41st minute of the match. Ingvar Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Omescu having to interfere. The supporters of MARIUS MARCOV booed when FC Calea Sagului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ioan Cipău didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelian Buzincu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, FC Calea Sagului's Zdzislaw Zagrodny threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aron Lobonț, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 59thth minute of the game Adrian Nicolae who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MARIUS MARCOV's Zdzislaw Zagrodny was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Petruț Omescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelian Buzincu's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Zdzislaw Zagrodny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Lobonț, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute Ioan Cipău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zdzislaw Zagrodny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxim-Alexander Ike hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. FC Calea Sagului made a substitution. Doriva Jacinto replaced Adrian Nicolae. MARIUS MARCOV's Zdzislaw Zagrodny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Lobonț in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, MARIUS MARCOV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Ghiurutan to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the match, FC Calea Sagului's Cristinel Patrichi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zdzislaw Zagrodny narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Many of FC Calea Sagului's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FC Calea Sagului may have spent more time on the ball, but MARIUS MARCOV were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
