Basarab Răduț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Nicolae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basarab Răduț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Ivasiuc in the 11th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes FC BARCELONA VLP got a freekick which was hit by Remus Rada. Adrian Nicolae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Basarab Răduț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petruț Omescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvar Nuut, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes FC Calea Sagului got a freekick which was hit by Maxim-Alexander Ike. Thanks to some nice moves Remus Rada could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Petruț Omescu however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Adrian Nicolae put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Basarab Răduț. Remus Rada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Omescu having to interfere. FC BARCELONA VLP's Basarab Răduț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Lobonț in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, FC BARCELONA VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Ioan Cipău came free, but Basarab Răduț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Albert Colceriu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Omescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC BARCELONA VLP's Traian Stejaru got a free kick in the 35th minute. Basarab Răduț stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aron Lobonț's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, FC BARCELONA VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Niculae Maior came free, but Basarab Răduț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC BARCELONA VLP's Alvar Nuut got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42ndth minute of the game Adrian Nicolae who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC BARCELONA VLP's Basarab Răduț was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC BARCELONA VLP's zone, Aron Lobonț stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basarab Răduț came out of the goal and Aron Lobonț tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrian Nicolae stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Basarab Răduț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ioan Cipău, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Basarab Răduț didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Nicolae went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Remus Rada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Omescu having to interfere. FC BARCELONA VLP made a substitution. Mihnea Budulea replaced Marcel Torouţ. If Alvar Nuut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doriva Jacinto took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basarab Răduț. In the 76th minute, Mădălin Poplăcean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aron Lobonț's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basarab Răduț read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, FC BARCELONA VLP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Alungulesei to maneuver through the defense. FC BARCELONA VLP made a substitution. Rubén Aguila replaced Remus Rada. After 83 played minutes FC BARCELONA VLP got a freekick which was hit by Dan Alungulesei. After a rather tough play, FC BARCELONA VLP's Mihăiţă Ilieș got a free kick in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the game, Iacob Ivasiuc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Calea Sagului's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC BARCELONA VLP the free kick. Petruț Omescu came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC BARCELONA VLP's Rubén Aguila. But to his dismay, Rubén Aguila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The audience was convinced that Mădălin Poplăcean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petruț Omescu was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The FC BARCELONA VLP supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Calea Sagului's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Calea Sagului.
