Spectators: 8002 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when George Buzoianu kicked off to start the match. George Buzoianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Drogoreanu having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Nicodim Sasu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Zsigmond Pál had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucian Zafiu. Anton Baicea kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Zsigmond Pál made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucian Zafiu in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute, Martin Manu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iosif Gurlui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th match minute, F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Podgoreanu to maneuver through the defense. George Buzoianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Drogoreanu having to interfere. If George Buzoianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Iosif Gurlui came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the F.C. Baia Mare -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iosif Gurlui couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, UFC Sarlotenburg's Dorin Baicu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dorin Baicu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of UFC Sarlotenburg protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dorin Baicu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of UFC Sarlotenburg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of F.C. Baia Mare -MM-:s goal. George Buzoianu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gheorghe Arsenescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. George Buzoianu took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernest Drogoreanu. Ernest Drogoreanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. George Buzoianu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Ernest Drogoreanu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 62 minutes into the match, UFC Sarlotenburg's goalkeeper Ernest Drogoreanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Buzoianu. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Zsigmond Pál, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the game, Manuel Tărbac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UFC Sarlotenburg the free kick. A collision led to F.C. Baia Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Manuel Tărbac hit a great ball. The supporters of UFC Sarlotenburg booed when F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Baicea didn't get a good kick on the ball. UFC Sarlotenburg's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Iosif Gurlui scored to the left of an out of position Ernest Drogoreanu, making the score, 0-2. Zsigmond Pál showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Arsenescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If George Buzoianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Although UFC Sarlotenburg had been in control for most of the match, F.C. Baia Mare -MM- still came away with the win.
