Spectators: 8033 (Terracing: 6025, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 160) Cristian Curuțiu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Iosif Gurlui had several of the FC Mihaesti's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 4 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Bogdan Hurdubețiu as he didn't even see the shot coming. George Buzoianu took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bogdan Hurdubețiu. Bogdan Hurdubețiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Bogdan Hurdubețiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Gurlui in the 10th minute of play. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Arce in the 13th minute of play. With his leg Bogdan Hurdubețiu managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s George Buzoianu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zsigmond Pál made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Gănescu in the 26th minute of play. George Buzoianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Manuel Tărbac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If George Buzoianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Buzoianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Bogdan Hurdubețiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Mihaesti booed when F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Buzoianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Buzoianu made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Valer Hidiș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Mihaesti and the F.C. Baia Mare -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Mihaesti getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Valer Hidiș hit a great ball. Bogdan Hurdubețiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Buzoianu's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Iosif Gurlui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bogdan Hurdubețiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Gabriel Gănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Mihaesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Gănescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zsigmond Pál breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bogdan Hurdubețiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Buzoianu in the 86th minute of the match. Nistor Tomescu kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 91st minute George Buzoianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Hurdubețiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurențiu Petruescu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Mihaesti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.C. Baia Mare -MM-.
