The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ernest Poplăcean took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Honciu. Gabriel Honciu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernest Poplăcean in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Honciu saved Galsa from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Galsa's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Poplăcean came free, but Gabriel Honciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Șerban Nanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Honciu. Galsa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Șerban Nanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice moves Olimpiu Boian could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Andrei Pavel however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, FC Fanaticii's Horaţiu Zotincă got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st match minute, FC Fanaticii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Ganea to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Horaţiu Zotincă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olimpiu Boian charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olimpiu Boian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Galsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Boian to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Honciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Panait, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gabriel Honciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Ganea in the 36th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marius Măgură in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Honciu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrei Pavel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Boian in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Marius Măgură shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Honciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Olimpiu Panait in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Galsa's Olimpiu Boian. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Boian in the 58th minute of play forced FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Andrei Pavel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Honciu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marius Măgură in the 59th minute. After 62 played minutes Galsa got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Ţiţeica. Dragoş Pivniceru made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Galsa's Valentin Sângeorzan. In the 65th minute Olimpiu Boian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Pavel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, FC Fanaticii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragoş Pivniceru to maneuver through the defense. Galsa made a substitution. Manuel Zaharia replaced Albert Emilianu. After a rather tough play, FC Fanaticii's Dragoş Pivniceru got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 83rd minute, Olimpiu Gavra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marius Ganea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Gabriel Honciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Gheorghe Pietreanu made a precise shot to the right of Andrei Pavel. FC Fanaticii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Marius Măgură came free with the goalkeeper in the 96th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gabriel Honciu could save by the left post. FC Fanaticii were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Galsa's much stronger midfield.
