With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugur Robescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Falciu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Narcis Gușatu was slow to take the kick. During this time Gidofalva CSM's players had a chance to rest. Marian Mălaimare struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Mugur Robescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gidofalva CSM. Ovidiu Logofătu scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mugur Robescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Mugur Robescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 33rd minute, FC Falciu's Iacob Cocea seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Iacob Cocea the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Falciu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Iacob Cocea had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Falciu! Mugur Robescu had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Narcis Gușatu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gidofalva CSM's Narcis Gușatu got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd match minute, FC Falciu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxim Fința to maneuver through the defense. When Narcis Gușatu came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Gidofalva CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narcis Gușatu couldn't finish the play. After 44 minutes, Petru Caraiman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Falciu and the Gidofalva CSM players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, FC Falciu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petru Caraiman to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Marian Mălaimare ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mugur Robescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Łukasz Tobolev made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Gidofalva CSM's zone, Marcus Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Rebengiuc came out of the goal and Marcus Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 52ndth minute of the game Łukasz Tobolev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Falciu's Mugur Robescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marian Mălaimare struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Mugur Robescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gidofalva CSM. Marcus Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dan Rebengiuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Gidofalva CSM's Łukasz Tobolev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mugur Robescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After 67 played minutes Gidofalva CSM got a freekick which was hit by Narcis Gușatu. Dan Rebengiuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Mihăescu in the 68th minute of play. Maxim Fința charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxim Fința the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, one of FC Falciu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Falciu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Mălaimare in the 74th minute of play forced FC Falciu's goalkeeper Mugur Robescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Łukasz Tobolev in the 75th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Mugur Robescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Mălaimare in the 78th minute of the match. FC Falciu's Mugur Robescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Łukasz Tobolev in the 79th minute of play. Mugur Robescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Mălaimare, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Gidofalva CSM walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
