The supporters of Colorado Avalanche booed when FC Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Bungescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredão Britto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the game, one of Colorado Avalanche:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Narcis Manea, was totally fooled by FC Vaslui's Panait Agachi, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Narcis Manea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Bungescu in the 13th minute of play. Nicolae Marghescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Cosor in the 15th minute of the match. Mihăiţă Aluchei's late challenge caught a FC Vaslui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihăiţă Aluchei helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Colorado Avalanche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihăiţă Aluchei to maneuver through the defense. Basarab Bungescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Manea having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Eduard Tătaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colorado Avalanche fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to FC Vaslui getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Basarab Bungescu hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Colorado Avalanche's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Iulian came free, but Narcis Manea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narcis Manea made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Basarab Bungescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th match minute, FC Vaslui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Slicaru to maneuver through the defense. Narcis Manea didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. After a rather tough play, Colorado Avalanche's Vit Doro got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
55 minutes into the game, Panait Agachi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Narcis Manea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicolae Iulian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 minutes, Sergiu Şunda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colorado Avalanche and the FC Vaslui players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vit Doro in the 75th minute of play forced FC Vaslui's goalkeeper Nicolae Marghescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narcis Manea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Bungescu in the 77th minute of play. Dacian Cosor hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. FC Vaslui's Panait Agachi got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86thth minute of the game Panait Agachi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colorado Avalanche's Narcis Manea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vit Doro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vit Doro in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolae Marghescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the match, FC Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Vit Doro came free, but Nicolae Marghescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes in the game, Vit Doro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nicolae Marghescu having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colorado Avalanche players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Vaslui.
