Irinel Soneriu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denis Dănălache showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, FC Lutanu's Octav Romaşcanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mugur Robescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yetkiner Yasun in the 25th minute of play forced FC Falciu's goalkeeper Mugur Robescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Dănălache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Irinel Soneriu made a huge save. Mugur Robescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yetkiner Yasun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mugur Robescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yetkiner Yasun went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute Yetkiner Yasun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Robescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Marcus Paes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 40thth minute of the game Yetkiner Yasun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Falciu's Mugur Robescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lawrence Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Yetkiner Yasun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mugur Robescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Dănălache to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcus Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Marcus Paes had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ilie Cazacu during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC Falciu made a substitution. Mădălin Pisculescu replaced Marcus Paes. After a rather tough play, FC Falciu's Iacob Cocea got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute of the match, Yetkiner Yasun got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mugur Robescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Ozon in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Irinel Soneriu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Șerban Ozon in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irinel Soneriu saved FC Lutanu from getting behind. In the 74th minute, one of FC Falciu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Falciu. 80 minutes into the match, FC Falciu's goalkeeper Mugur Robescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yetkiner Yasun. Mugur Robescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yetkiner Yasun showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 86 minute of play. With an all-out effort, FC Lutanu's Mugur Robescu threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Octav Romaşcanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Irinel Soneriu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mădălin Pisculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the game, FC Falciu's Denis Dănălache nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 99th minute, Yetkiner Yasun reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mugur Robescu. The goal made the score 3-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Lutanu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
