In the 19thth minute of the game Marian Mălaimare who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Vaslui's Nicolae Marghescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Panait Agachi ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the match, Gidofalva CSM's goalkeeper Dan Rebengiuc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basarab Bungescu. The supporters of Gidofalva CSM booed when FC Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Bungescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, FC Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Mălaimare came free, but Nicolae Marghescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes Gidofalva CSM got a freekick which was hit by Łukasz Tobolev. Gidofalva CSM's Dan Rebengiuc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Gidofalva CSM from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Łukasz Tobolev to strike the kick off in the second half. When Cristinel Slicaru fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Vaslui's protests and gave Cristinel Slicaru a yellow card for diving instead. Cristinel Slicaru hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Narcis Gușatu, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. FC Vaslui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Łukasz Tobolev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 83rd minute, Łukasz Tobolev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolae Marghescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Nicolae Marghescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Łukasz Tobolev, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Poli Doro kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Iulian in the 90th minute of play forced Gidofalva CSM's goalkeeper Dan Rebengiuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Vaslui fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gidofalva CSM were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
