Spectators: 8044 (Terracing: 6034, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Denis Dănălache started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, FC Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Paes came free, but Nicolae Marghescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Nicolae Iulian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Robescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolae Marghescu came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Falciu's Aurelian Şelaru. But to his dismay, Aurelian Şelaru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Denis Dănălache came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the FC Falciu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Dănălache couldn't finish the play. Nicolae Marghescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Dănălache, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Arnas in the 20th minute of play forced FC Vaslui's goalkeeper Nicolae Marghescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Falciu's Mugur Robescu got control of the ball when Basarab Bungescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolae Marghescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelian Şelaru in the 25th minute of the match. Mugur Robescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panait Agachi in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Humberto Reynardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Falciu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Vaslui the free kick. Humberto Reynardo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match, Panait Agachi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mugur Robescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nicolae Marghescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute FC Falciu were awarded a corner. Șerban Ozon went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on FC Falciu's corner Șerban Ozon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nicolae Marghescu quite easily take care of the ball. After 35 played minutes FC Falciu got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Cocea. Nicolae Iulian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, FC Falciu's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Iulian came free, but Mugur Robescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

In the 52nd minute of the match FC Falciu got a corner. FC Vaslui's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Șerban Ozon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nicolae Marghescu was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Denis Dănălache capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nicolae Marghescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolae Marghescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Paes in the 76th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Marcus Paes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolae Marghescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Denis Dănălache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Nicolae Marghescu made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Genaro Arnas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolae Marghescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Mugur Robescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Iulian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Falciu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
