The coaching staff of MINERUL BALAN protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and 柳皓潮 had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for MINERUL BALAN! MINERUL BALAN:s Jan Popowicz showed great skill when he stopped Phoenix Alb:s penalty. In the 8th minute Görkem Büyükada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Popowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The MINAS TIRITH fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 30 minutes into the game, George Alupulesei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jan Popowicz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phoenix Alb in the 33rd minute of play forced MINERUL BALAN's goalkeeper Jan Popowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Chiose in the 34th minute of play forced MINAS TIRITH's goalkeeper Niculae Dudău to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Bernat might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niculae Dudău. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
