After a defensive mix-up in CRANGASI FC's zone, Nae Beniuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faik Derem came out of the goal and Nae Beniuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of CRANGASI FC booed when Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristinel Iurea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, David Mergea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, David Mergea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CRANGASI FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Cristinel Iurea got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Traian Pașcanu made a precise shot to the right of Nistor Isăilă. Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. David Mergea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When David Mergea came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the CRANGASI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Mergea couldn't finish the play. Nae Beniuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Daniel Burdea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CRANGASI FC the free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Mergea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Grigore Arghirescu put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Nistor Isăilă. 53 minutes into the match, Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Nistor Isăilă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Mergea. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by David Mergea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With an all-out effort, CRANGASI FC's Nistor Isăilă threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Grigore Arghirescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nistor Isăilă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Pașcanu in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Iurea to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, David Mergea made a precise shot to the right of Nistor Isăilă. Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Isăilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Agachi in the 92nd minute of play. Faik Derem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Iurea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Traian Pașcanu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nistor Isăilă, 0-10. CRANGASI FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
