Spectators: 8423 (Terracing: 6318, Seating: 1937, VIP seats: 168) Viorel Iacobescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 8 played minutes, FC Luck's Radu Bârlă shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niculae Rădvan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Luck reached it. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Niculae Rădvan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Mutu in the 9th minute of play. Roch Cieslak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viorel Iacobescu in the 10th minute. Niculae Rădvan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Mutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute of the match FC Luck got a corner. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Chiru ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Luck's David Chiru to fire away a dangerous shot which Niculae Rădvan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Filip Braia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Luck the free kick. Filip Braia kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Roch Cieslak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viorel Iacobescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelian Odobescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roch Cieslak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Narcis Voinescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niculae Rădvan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After having played for 40 minutes, Narcis Voinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Luck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Voinescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd match minute, FC PIETROSUL -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Crăiniceanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute FC Luck were awarded a corner. David Chiru went to the cornerflag to take it. Eduard Mutu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC PIETROSUL -MM- made a substitution. Ciprian Halipa replaced Aurel Teodoroiu.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narcis Voinescu to strike the kick off in the second half. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Niculae Rădvan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Voinescu in the 53rd minute of play. Narcis Voinescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niculae Rădvan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Narcis Voinescu ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Felix Codin got a free kick in the 62nd minute. FC PIETROSUL -MM- made a substitution. Cristi Ciprian replaced Viorel Iacobescu. After 63 played minutes FC PIETROSUL -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Felix Codin. Niculae Rădvan made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Narcis Voinescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th match minute, FC PIETROSUL -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Burdujan to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Niculae Rădvan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narcis Voinescu. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for FC Luck. Narcis Voinescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Niculae Rădvan. 0-3. Niculae Rădvan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduard Mutu's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Niculae Rădvan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Mutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Dan Burdujan made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Luck's David Chiru. After a rather tough play, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Ferdinand Vrejiu got a free kick in the 80th minute. FC Luck's David Chiru shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 80th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Niculae Rădvan but with some difficulty. Niculae Rădvan made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Pavel Logofătu sent off a good shot on target. In the 100th minute, Felix Codin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Luck eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
